Office of Early Childhood Licensing

The Division of Licensing is responsible for the administration of the child care and youth camp licensing programs at the Office of Early Childhood. Family child care homes, group child care homes, child care centers and youth camps are required to be licensed.

The Administration for Children & Families

Head Start and Early Head Start are administered by the Office of Head Start (OHS), within the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Child First helps struggling families build strong, nurturing relationships that heal and protect young children from the devastating impact of trauma and chronic stress.

Care 4 Kids

Care 4 Kids helps low- to moderate-income families in Connecticut pay for child care costs. This program is sponsored by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood.

Help Me Grow

The Help Me Grow program identifies and supports the most effective means of assisting and strengthening families and communities and the human services workforce in order to prevent child abuse and neglect and promote the health, well-being and positive growth and development of all young children in Connecticut. The Help Me Grow program can help you better understand your child's development.
