In the event that extenuating circumstances lead to an extended partial or complete building closure, EASTCONN Adult and Community Programs will work to smoothly transition educational and support services to a distance platform. Through the use of online platforms and mobile learning apps, instructors and counselors will work with students individually and in groups to provide them a rich academic experience that supports progress towards their goals. If students do not have access to the necessary technology, they may request an equipment loan. Technology will be distributed as available, based upon need, and demonstrated educational persistence. To bridge the gap, teachers will provide packets of material, supported by phone and text guidance. Depending on the circumstances, some limited, essential in-person services may be available upon request.
