QMC Clubs & Recreation: We Are The Spartans!

QMC not only encourages great academic achievements, it also inspires social success through clubs and committee participation. Clubs and committees are positive additions to résumés and fantastic ways to make a difference in our school and to provide fun environments for students.

All clubs and committees encourage students to communicate with each other in a positive manner. They are formed based on student and teacher interests and may change each year. Committees design plans for school improvement in their specified area of interest. Clubs create close-knit groups of students and give them the opportunity to learn about others’ interests.

The following are some examples of 2024-2025 QMC clubs and committees:

  • Art Club
  • Bylaws Committee
  • Creative Writing Club
  • Dungeons & Dragons Club: Dungeons & Dragons Club is all about imagination. If you can think it, you can do it. We go through various fantasy settings all in attempt to entertain and tell a story together, and we're a welcoming and helpful environment for whoever you want to be in and out of the game.
  • D.E.A.R. Club (Drop Everything And Read)
  • G.S.A. (Gender & Sexuality Alliance): The Genders & Sexualities Alliance (GSA) is a student-led organization dedicated to fostering inclusivity, advocacy, and education. In the 24-25 school year, the GSA focused on researching and advocating for the creation of a gender-neutral bathroom, ensuring a safe and accessible space for all students. Beyond this initiative, the club works to promote equality and acceptance, inspiring kindness throughout the school community. Through various events and discussions, GSA members provided vital education on LGBTQIA+ topics, striving to create a more informed and supportive environment for everyone.
  • History Club
  • Leadership Committee
  • Volleyball Club: Volleyball club is a recreational student led club where students compete against each other. It has a minimum of 12 students and a maximum of 22 students. We keep score, and whichever side gets to 25 first wins. We also play music for further engagement. It’s pretty fun, but we still expect people to follow a few rules in the process.
