The Consortium is offered as the result of continued collaboration between EASTCONN and the Connecticut Tech Act Project. Consortium membership is offered to districts who utilize a minimum of four days of EASTCONN's AT and/or AAC services. Membership provides districts with a flexible, customizable package of both AT and AAC services to meet the needs of students and staff. Packages include assessment, training and consultation. Consortium members can access EASTCONN's continually expanding Assistive Technology Lending Library and are offered priority scheduling of services.

To the greatest extent possible, during the period of school closure due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the AT Team has continued to support the Consortium Districts in a number of ways. Virtual consultation to educational staff, to families and, as appropriate, directly to students. Training videos on use of the student’s technology have been provided to families of students with multiple and complex needs to aid in supporting Continued Learning Opportunities at home.

Benefits: Consortium membership provides districts with a cost-effective way of meeting their AT and AAC needs through priority scheduling of services and access to the Assistive Technology Lending Library for trial use of devices with their students and staff.
