Yes. You must bring one (1) form of identification which must be a government-issued photo ID (i.e., your license, passport or ID).

No. By working at least one day, you are considered a continuous employee for that district unless otherwise required by the school district.

You will need to provide one completed referral form from each Connecticut State Police Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) approved BOE, Charter or Private School and payment for each school.  EASTCONN will fingerprint you and submit your prints to the Connecticut State Police for processing.  Results are then sent directly to each school.

Effective January 1, 2018, our fee schedule is as follows:

$50.00 if you are hired/employed directly by the Board of Education including employment as a teacher, substitute teacher, school nurse

$134.00 if you are not hired/employed directly by the Board of Education (contractor, volunteer, intern, Teacher Preparation Program participants, etc.)

$25.00 for requested public fingerprinting services only

  • Payment: Cash or MasterCard/Visa only. 

Fingerprinting is done by appointment only. Appointments are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please call 860-455-0707 to schedule an appointment.

If processed by EASTCONN, your results are sent by the Connecticut State Police directly to your school.  It may take up to 3 months to receive your results.

Connecticut law requires local school systems to have all new employees, including substitute teachers, fingerprinted for state and national criminal history checks.
