U.S. Citizenship

American Citizenship Preparation

These FREE classes prepare adults to pass the American Citizenship Test. We focus on questions used by the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) and offer practice tests. We also assess each student and tailor instruction to meet their needs. Students have a better chance of becoming U.S. citizens, thanks to our individualized instruction and the high-quality content offered in our classes. We will help you fill out INS test forms and applications. Classes, which are designed with the special needs of adult learners in mind, are conveniently located at our two regional adult learning centers in Willimantic and Danielson.

Volunteer Tutoring Opportunities

We are seeking volunteer tutors! Our literacy program provides free tutoring to EASTCONN adult education students who need help with basic instruction in reading, writing, and math. Tutoring can take place with a one-on-one with a student or in a group setting at an EASTCONN location under the supervision of an EASTCONN staff member. Each volunteer is matched to a student/program by examining the needs of the student(s), the location and time of classes and the volunteer's interests. All volunteers must complete a background check paid for by EASTCONN. View the Volunteer Flyer for more information or call us and apply today!
