American Citizenship Preparation

This class is for individuals seeking to pass the United States Citizenship Test. The curriculum covers the history of the United States and the United States government. Special emphasis is placed on questions used by the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) as part of the U.S. Citizenship Test. Assistance in filling out application forms and test application forms is provided. Citizenship classes are offered at various locations during the school year for residents of the 21 towns that comprise EASTCONN's Adult Education consortium.


Benefits: These classes prepare adults to pass the American Citizenship Test. Test preparation emphasizes questions used by the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS). Students improve their chances of attaining citizenship by practicing with tests similar to the INS Citizenship Test. Classes, which are designed with the special needs of adult learners in mind, are conveniently located at our two regional adult learning centers in Willimantic and Danielson.
