INACTIVE-Standards-Based Report Card Development

As districts develop and implement new grading and reporting systems, this group will support its individual members as they collaborate with other districts to develop a standards-based report card and participate in reflective, ongoing dialogue around best practices.

Benefits: Development of a standards based report card will ensure consistency of expectations from teacher to teacher and ensure clear expectations of student performance for students and parents. It will help teachers and students focus on the standards from the very beginning of the year, giving students a chance to get help sooner if they are not making adequate progress. Parents will learn exactly how their students are doing, based on the standards. They'll learn about the ideas and concepts their children have learned and what they need to work on to ensure they are ready for the next grade-level.
