INACTIVE-Clinical Day Treatment Extended School-Year Program - Grades K-12

This comprehensive, individualized, summer school program helps students maintain basic academic skills and build effective social skills through small-group activities and community-based experiences. Components include: a 3-to-1 student-to-staff ratio; clinical services, including crisis intervention, social skills experiences and program consultation; and daily academic instruction, providing consistency in order to maintain academic skills and prevent regression. Staff includes certified special education teachers, clinicians, related personnel and instruction assistants. For grades K-8, the program is facility-based and enables students to maintain basic academic skills and promote effective social skills through lively and engaging small-group activities and community-based experiences. For grades 9-12, the summer program is community-based with a vocational component, enabling students to build work-related skills and a summer paycheck. Students may also earn high school credit.


Benefits: This program helps prevent academic and social-emotional regression through individualized academic instruction. Vocational students have the opportunity to work at paid internships and earn high school credit.
