Teachers, students and schools are invited to help evaluate the effects of light pollution on the night sky by collecting data using sky quality meters. The data will be sent to the National Optical Astronomy Observatory (NOAO) and Globe at Night. Results will be included in a national database for further studies. Supplies and funding for this project have come from such sources as the Optical Society of America Foundation (OSAF), NOAO and Globe at Night, Regional center for Next Generation Manufacturing (RCNGM).
