Consortium Package

 The Consortium is the result of continued collaboration efforts between EASTCONN and the Connecticut Tech Act Project. Consortium membership provides districts with customized and flexible support and services to meet the needs of students and staff. Consortium members can access an expanded library of AT tools for use in professional development, student assessment and trial use within their school districts. EASTCONN's Assistive Technology Consortium Packages offer your district:

Students Assessments that include: 

  • Focus on AT, AAC, or a combination of both
  • Focus on transition to college, career & community settings
  • Consultation with the educational team
  • On-site evaluation in the natural environment
  • Written report
  • PPT attendance to present findings

Consultation and Training Options:

    • Focus on individual student AT or AAC training, implementation and integration into the educational plan
    • Consideration of AT to support a program, classroom or grade level(s)
    • Training on use and integration of AT devices, whether tools already in district or new tools being introduced.

Access to Lending Library:

    • Loan of appropriate devices for student trial
    • Professional access to devices for exploration of new AT and AAC devices, tools and apps
    • Temporary replacement of student devices, if available, when student's device is being repaired or replaced.
