John Kalinowski is Director of Technology Development Services. He is actively developing new partnerships with technology vendors to assist our schools in obtaining the highest quality technology products and service in the most cost effective manner. In addition, he is involved in designing, recommending and implementing network infrastructure, as well as delivering training and technical assistance to school personnel on a myriad of technology topics. John was president of the Connecticut Educators Computer Association (CECA) from 1991-1993, and continues to help plan and coordinate Statewide Educational Technology Conference and other technology related programs for educators. He is on the Joint Committee on Educational Technology (JCET) Task Force commissioned by the State Legislature to provide input on issues related to technology and schools. He reviewed and provided input on the State of Connecticut Educational Technology Plan. John is Exhibit Manager for the CT Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (CASCD) and the Connecticut Reading Association; in this position he coordinates vendor exhibits through a series of statewide conferences. John holds a B.A. in economics, a Connecticut Teachers Certificate and a Massachusetts Teachers Certificate. [Top]

He has a B.S. in Biology, an M.A.T. in teaching, and holds his CT teaching certificate for grades 7-12 (content areas: Biology, Chemistry, General Science). He is a former high school science teacher and science center educator, specializing in inquiry-based learning for science. Prior to his time in the public school systems, he spent twenty years as an industrial chemist and quality control engineer. He presently is a coordinator for EASTCONN Interdistrict Grants at both middle and high school levels. [Top]

Lenoce worked previously at the Children’s Center Community Programs of Connecticut and was a special education teacher for 17 years in several different Connecticut communities. He graduated from UConn, completed his graduate work at Central Connecticut State University, and is pursuing his doctorate. [Top]
Carol Magliocco, Ph.D., PT, is the leader of EASTCONN's assistive technology team. Carol completed her doctoral studies in special education, with an emphasis in assistive technology, at the University of Connecticut in 2002. Carol has worked with school children with special needs for over 15 years and has been a practicing physical therapist for 30 years. She has extensive experience providing training and presentations at the local, state and national level. [Top] Michael Mahony Michael Mahony is currently a staff developer at EASTCONN. During twenty-five years as an educator he has taught and developed orienteering curriculum in various settings. He recently led orienteering with students as young as third grade. [Top]

John has been an educator for 22 years, toured the U.S., Canada, and Germany with a show called Stories in the Air, a combination of puppetry and mime. Mayer is also a graduate of the Puppetry Arts Program at the University of Connecticut and a former board member of the Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry at UConn. He was previously a reading consultant with the Amity Regional School District in Orange, CT, and has overseen two other theater arts programs. Mayer has been recognized for both his artistry as well as his teaching. He was awarded the National Institute of Puppetry Award while at UConn, and was selected by the Connecticut Reading Association to receive the Outstanding Reading Specialist Award in 2000. [Top]

She is Department Chair of the Department of Cooperative Resources at Woodstock Academy, Program Director of the Young Adult Program and is an EASTCONN District Facilitator. She has extensive experience in special education programs servicing students with developmentally disabled/learning disabilities. She received a major commendation on the full draft report from the New England School and Accreditation Committee/Outstanding Program for Students with Disabilities. She is a member of the Council of Exceptional Children and the Pennsylvania State/Connecticut Valley Chapter Alumni Association. Ann holds a Sixth Year Certificate, a M.A., and a B.A. She is also a Certified Assessor-Zenger-Miller Training. She has over twenty years experience in school health and in working with medically-disabled students. As a trained low ropes and high ropes Challenge Course facilitator, Frankie’s ideas and creative plans have been an integral part of the EASTCONN Adventure program for the past five years. A Connecticut native, Frankie has over thirty years experience working towards positive youth development. Frankie enjoys working with people of all ages and her positive energy helps groups meet their goals successfully. [Top]
Rebecca Pilver is an Technology Education and Literacy Specialist at EASTCONN. She provides training and technical assistance to schools as they integrate technology into the curriculum. She has experience in classroom teaching and in creating supportive environments for literacy development. [Top]
Denise Davis-Resonina is Principal of the PACE North Program in Dayville, CT. She serves as principal of an elementary/middle school for SED students which strives to develop each students maximum potential. She is responsible for the management of and direction of the daily operations of the academic and clinical components. She coordinates an integrated curriculum with hands-on projects. Areas of expertise include supervision and evaluation of personnel, budget preparation and implementation, classroom management techniques, curriculum development, facilitating a team approach, and implementing disciplinary procedures. Denise is experienced in staff development and consulting with public school systems in the area of behavioral intervention and strategies. Denise taught science and work study skills classes and participated in extensive counseling sessions with students. Denise has experience writing grants and curriculums.
