Students from QMC’s Innovation of Manufacturing class and the Video Service Learning group participated in the 2018 Eastern Advanced Manufacturing Alliance (EAMA) Video Challenge. Tasked with producing a short film that captured a day-in-the-life of a Connecticut Manufacturer, students visited SIRI Wire to interview employees and learn what happens at the manufacturing facility. Watch QMC’s video here.
According to EAMA’s website, the video challenge is a way to highlight new and advanced manufacturing technologies, trends and processes that Eastern Connecticut companies have been embracing in order to compete in new markets. The goal of the competition is to engage and excite high school students about the opportunities available in local manufacturing companies.
Videos are currently published on the EAMA website for online voting. The challenge will culminate in a red carpet film festival – the EAMY Awards on April 26, 2018 at Quinebaug Valley
Community College in Danielson, CT.
