EASTCONN provides transportation services for regular
and special education students for LEAs and a variety of programs across the state of
Connecticut. We handle the maintenance, routing, dispatching, vendors, insurance and
provide drivers. The fleet contains twelve wheelchair accessible vehicles for students who
require this equipment. All vehicles are equipped with cellular phones. Routes and
schedules are flexible to meet the needs of individual school districts/students. Weekend,
field trip, holiday, summer, and other special transportation is available. EASTCONN uses
professionally licensed drivers who undergo state and federal criminal checks and
continual random drug testing. Drivers are experienced in carrying medically fragile
children and in dealing with difficult populations.

scheduling is designed to meet changing school times and calendars and clients can be
quickly added.
- Ride sharing to similar destinations results in cost savings to the school
or organization.

safely. Radios enable drivers to report any problems immediately so clients are not
inconvenienced.
- Because of the flexible scheduling, variety of vehicles, and availability,
school districts save time and money on transportation arrangements.
- School districts can
rely on EASTCONN's transportation services year round and do not have to use several
different vendors to meet their transportation needs.
