 School Transportation Services 
 EASTCONN provides transportation services for regular and special education students for LEAs and a variety of programs across the state of Connecticut. EASTCONN operates a fleet of over 95 transportation vehicles of various types and seating capacity. EASTCONN handles the maintenance, routing, dispatching, vendors, insurance and provision of drivers. EASTCONN's fleet of over 95 vehicles contains twelve wheelchair accessible vehicles for students who require this equipment. All vehicles are equipped with cellular phones. Routes and schedules are flexible to meet the needs of individual school districts/students. Weekend, field trip, holiday, summer, and other special transportation is available. EASTCONN uses professionally licensed drivers who undergo state and federal criminal checks and continual random drug testing. Drivers are experienced in carrying medically fragile children and in dealing with difficult populations. Drivers can also escort clients to and from appointments as needed. Bilingual staff is available.

EASTCONN can also provide assistance to LEAs that are going out to bid for proposals for providing transportation services. Assistance includes data collection from multiple sources.
