Conference & Meeting Support
EASTCONN can help LEAs/businesses manage and plan conferences, workshops, or meetings. Whether you use our facilities or not, consider one or more of our event support services:

Guarantee the selection of a quality learning environment by selecting one of our educational facilities. All facilities are air-conditioned and comfortably appointed. Catering services are available at all sites. Each training room is furnished with:

  • Sound system

  • Movable tables

  • White boards

  • Overhead or computer data projector

  • Built-in projection screen

  • VCRs and monitors

  • Portable computers and computer data projectors

  • Easels

  • Areas for posting flip charts

Conference, Training and Meeting Facilities include:

  • A theater-style training room, able to accommodate 100 participants, centrally located in Hampton

  • Six training rooms that can be configured to accommodate 25-45 participants, located in Windham and Hampton

  • Six meeting rooms to accommodate 6-20 persons, including two rooms with video conferencing capabilities.

Our Technology Lab is located in Willimantic. It can be configured to comfortably accommodate 18-25 participants. The lab is networked and has projection capability and high-speed Internet connectivity. In addition we maintain portable labs that can be used to expand our existing lab or brought to your site or another facility to create a portable technology lab.

Meeting Facilitation Services for Organizations in the Community
 Consulting services are available to organizations that can benefit from the help of an external facilitator to plan and lead special meetings, discussion groups, focus groups, community study circles, problem solving meetings, or planning meetings. Services include: 

  • Agenda planning and design, 
  • Meeting facilitation
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Meeting records production. 

EASTCONN may also contract for specialized expertise to better meet unique customer needs.

Benefits: 

  • Meetings are shorter in duration and produce better and clearer outcomes.
  • With planning assistance, the right participants are included and the agenda is designed to ensure that all meeting participants are contributing appropriately.
  • Clear meeting records are produced to document decisions made and action steps that need to be taken as a result of the meeting.

Strategic Planning for Organizations in the Community
 Consulting services are available to organizations who want to define a long range strategic plan. Services can be short-term and limited in scope or long-term and comprehensive. Services include:

  • Strategic planning packages that range from one-time to extended-day retreats.
  • Customer data collection (surveys and focus groups).
  • Employee action planning.
  • Employee facilitation training.
