CT REAP: Web-Based Employment System
CT REAP is a Web-based employment system for teachers and other
certified educators. Connecticut schools are able to post available positions on
the Web, allowing applicants from anywhere in the world to search and apply for
posted positions. Applicants may apply to as many as 165 school districts with
one electronic application. Start by identifying the positions that are open or
that you expect to become available; then, post the position and/or scan the
database for qualified applicants.

Fingerprinting Services
Connecticut law requires local
school systems to have all new employees, including substitute teachers,
fingerprinted for state and national criminal history checks. All public school
employees must submit to state and national criminal history record checks
within 30 days of their date of employment. Substitute teachers must have a
national criminal history records check completed within the previous year of
the date of employment with a local or regional board of education. EASTCONN
provides fingerprinting services that fulfill Connecticut statutory requirements
for school employee hiring as well as a regional registry for
information-sharing among LEAs.

Nursing
Personnel Support Services
EASTCONN can provide you
and your nursing staff with a range of assistance. We can help you interview
applicants and interpret school nurse qualifications. Once the nurses are hired,
we can assist you with their mentoring, clinical evaluation, supervision, and/or
specialized nursing training. If you prefer, we can provide qualified school
nurse personnel on a full- or part-time basis.

Staffing
EASTCONN can recruit, interview
and hire qualified full- or part-time staff to fill their required positions.
Positions that EASTCONN is able to provide include teachers, including special
education teachers, other professional staff and paraprofessionals with
specialized training as well as administrative support personnel. Shared
staffing is available either on a short- or long-term basis. In some cases,
school districts can share the services of an individual. Contracted positions
can be easily changed or terminated as the needs of the school district change.
